Calculate thermal expansion from temperature for metal (ASME B31.3 Table C-2). thermal expansion from 20 C is interpolated from table C-2.
thermal expansion coefficient is calculated at the design temperature. The mean thermal expansion coefficient, the expansion strain and the expansion length are calculated from the design base temperature to the design temperature. Use the Result Table option to display a table of expansion coefficient and expansion versus material type at the design temperature.
