CALCULATOR : DNVGL-RP-F101 Section 3.3 Standard Deviation Corrosion Depth Safety Factor And Fractile Value [FREE]   ±

Calculate defect standard deviation, partial safety factor and fractile value from measurement accuracy and confidence level (DNVGL-RP-F101 section 3.3).

The standard deviation is calculated for an assumed standard normal distribution. The sizing accuracy can be specified as either relative accuracy, or absolute accuracy. The partial safety factor and fractile value calculation is valid for standard devation ≤ 0.16;

  • safetype : Safety Type
    • εdu : User Defined Fractile Value
    • γdu : User Defined Partial Safety Factor
  • pcorrtype : Pressure Resistance Type
  • tn : Pipe Wall Thickness

Tool Output

  • γd : Corrosion Depth Safety Factor
  • εd : Corrosion Depth Fractile Value
  • (d/t)max : Maximum Allowable Defect Depth Over Wall Thickness Ratio
  • C : Confidence Level
  • StD : Standard Deviation
  • aa : ± Absolute Sizing Accuracy
  • dmax : Maximum Allowable Measured Defect Depth
  • ra : ± Relative Sizing Accuracy
