Calculate flange bolt design load, design stress and flange design pressure.
The bolt tensile area can be calculated for either ANSI threads based on threads per inch, or ISO threads based on thread pitch. The design load is equal to the design stress times the tensile area. The flange design pressure is calculated with no gasket preload, bending moment, or external loads. For flanges with gasket preload, bending moment, or external loads, the design pressure can be used as an equivalent pressure (there are various formula to calculate an equivalent pressure).
