Fresh Water Bulk Modulus

Calculate fresh water density and bulk modulus from temperature using Kell's equations (1975).

Kells equations are valid for temperatures from 0 to 100 C, at atmospheric pressure. The calculations are based on the 1968 international temperature scale (IPTS-68).

CALCULATOR : Water Density Bulk Modulus And Sound Velocity From Temperature [FREE]   ±

Calculate fresh water density, bulk modulus and sound velocity from temperature using Kell's equations.

Kells equations are valid for temperatures from 0 to 100 C, at atmospheric pressure. The calculation is based on the 1968 international temperature scale (IPTS-68).

Tool Input

  • T : Water Temperature

Tool Output

  • β : Water Compressibility
  • ρ : Water Density
  • K : Water Bulk Modulus
  • Vc : Water Sound Velocity

CALCULATOR : Water Or Liquid Sound Velocity From Density And Bulk Modulus [FREE]   ±

Calculate the speed of sound in water or a liquid.

The speed of sound can be calculated from the liquid density and the bulk modulus. Alternatively, the bulk modulus can be calculated from the speed of sound.

Tool Input

  • cctype : Sound Velocity Type
    • Ku : User Defined Bulk Modulus
    • Cu : User Defined Sound Velocity
  • ρ : Fluid Density

Tool Output

  • C : Speed Of Sound
  • K : Bulk Modulus
