Pipeline Internal Line Pack Volume Calculations
Calculate line pack volumes for single phase and two phase pipelines and ducts.
For liquid pipelines the line volume is the pipeline internal volume. For average temperature, the ambient temperature and the pipeline insulation is assumed to be constant along the length of the pipeline. The inlet and outlet temperature must be either both above the ambient temperature, or both below the ambient temperature, and can not be equal to the ambient temperature. For average pressure, the pipe slope is assumed to be constant between the inlet and outlet. The average temperature and pressure are approximate only.
